Treatments
Psychopharmacology
Medication can be considered as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan in addition to therapy for many psychiatric disorders such as attention deficit disorders, mood, anxiety, psychosis, and behavioral challenges. The process of medication management includes a comprehensive evaluation, a discussion about the role of medications in the treatment, and then ongoing follow up visits to monitor medication. During the discussion, we will talk about the benefits, the options available, side effects, and address any questions/concerns you may have. All of this can be completed via telemedicine or if necessary, in person.
Psychotherapy
Therapy treatment helps the patient identify strengths and weaknesses and recognize unique needs and challenges. Therapy is an essential part of mental health treatment. The process of therapy includes a comprehensive evaluation, a therapy treatment recommendation, and then ongoing weekly or biweekly sessions. The kinds of therapies offered include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, EMDR therapy, family therapy, and family management training.
