DIAGNOSIS
Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment includes discussion of goals, identification of strengths and current challenges, diagnostic assessment and interview, education and treatment planning, contacting collateral sources/other treatment providers, and reviewing testing reports/scales.
Initial Consultation for adults:
1 hour interview + 45 minute feedback session
Initial Consultation for children & adolescents consists of 3 parts:
1 hour interview with parents + 1 hour with interview with child + 45 minute psychiatrist feedback session.
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
Appointment:
30 - 45 minutes
For established patients, follow-up appointments will consist of brief psychotherapy, discussion of response to treatment and reassessment of treatment plan as necessary, including changes to the medications or tapering off of medications.
PSYCHOTHERAPY
Appointment:
45 minutes
Usually scheduled weekly or biweekly. Psychotherapy modalities include: Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Others.
Phone Consultation:
15-30 minutes
For established patients only. For questions or concerns between scheduled appointments that do not require an in-person visit.
PARENTING SUPPORT
Family Therapy/Parent Management Appointment:
45 - 60 minutes
Appointments will consist of meeting with the entire family unit for family therapy or meeting with just the parents for parent management training.
