About Me

As a mental health professional, I am passionate about people, community, and the deep roots of the mind that both unite us and make us unique. Each person’s journey is specific to them and treatment must reflect this. That’s why I’ve developed a broad focus as a psychotherapist and counselor. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma while also working extensively with individuals and families in a variety of therapeutic settings.

I have had the opportunity to help families through couples therapy, groups, and individual sessions. Understanding individual needs as well as the strengths and weaknesses of interpersonal relationships allows me to help clients work through past issues and create stronger bonds. Additionally, my professional experience working with children and adolescents provides vital insight into the complexities and fragility of growing minds.

Additionally, as a licensed chemical dependency counselor, I work with individuals from all backgrounds to navigate the physical and mental symptoms of substance use disorders. In this role, I help clients push through feelings of hopelessness and find the light at the end of what seems like a very long dark tunnel. The key to my approach is treating every individual with compassion and providing a judgment-free, safe space to cultivate positive change.

Beyond my therapy services, I also engage with the community through public speaking and educational program development. I facilitate “Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes” (ECHO) presentations for health professionals. I play an active role in the discussion about mental health and self-care—an essential conversation for the improvement of community mental health.

Whether providing individual therapy or sharing my knowledge and experience with the larger community, I am passionate about mental health and creating a brighter future for those who feel lost.
